Stems sparsely to moderately pubescent, pubescence of inter­nodes ubiquitous, trichomes eglandular and glandular-capitate. Leaves: petiole 2.8–5 cm, pubescent; blade del­tate to ovate-elliptic, oblong, or suborbiculate, 2.9–24.5 × 2.5–17.5 cm, base cordate, apex acuminate, abaxial surface pubescent, hairs eglandular and glandular, adax­ial surface pubescent, hairs eglandular, colleters 2–4, ca. 0.3 mm. Peduncles to 17 mm, pubescent. Pedicels 0.7–3.7 cm, pubescent. Flowers: calyx lobes lanceolate, 1.6–5.4 × 0.2–1 mm, margins entire, apex obtuse, abaxial surface pubescent to glabrate, adaxial surface glabrous; corolla uniformly green, olive-green, yellow-green, or neon green or multicolored and generally dark maroon to brownish near base and green to yellow-green near tips, subcampanulate at base, tube 1–1.4 × 1–1.5 mm, lobes ovate to elongate-deltate, 2.6–11 × 2–4 mm, slightly lobed at base, glandular swelling frequently present in sinus, apex obtuse, abaxial surface glabrous, adax­ial surface glabrous or pubescent only along right sides; corolline corona reduced to small mounds opposite anthers, glabrous; gynostegial corona prostrate-undulating; style-head 2.6–3.7 mm diam., stipe ca. 0.5 mm; dorsal anther appendages 0.9 × 0.9 mm, apex rounded to truncate, or 2-lobed to emarginate; pollinia ovate, 0.6 × 0.2 mm. Follicles ovoid, 8–15 × 1.5–2.8 cm, surface glabrous or minutely pubescent. Seeds 6–10 × 3–7 mm, distal margin dentate, surfaces somewhat muricate, glabrous, coma white, to 4.5 cm.
