Discussion
Variety parviflorus is known from southwestern Idaho, western Montana, northern Wasatch Mountains and mountainous Owyhee County in Idaho, the Black Hills in South Dakota, western Wyoming, and disjunctly on the Shivwits Plateau in northwestern Arizona (Mohave County).
The combination of small flowers, villous pedicels, and broad, green, glabrous (or nearly so) adaxial leaflet surfaces separates this variety from others of the species.
