Basal leaves: petiole broadly winged; blade narrowly oblanceolate, usually 0.5–1.5 cm broad, apex acute, ± glabrous except for ciliate margins. Calyces 18–22 mm, with long, straight, nonglandular pubescence, hairs spreading to retrorse, white, soft. Capsules ca. 10 mm. 2n = 48.


Phenology: Flowering spring.
Habitat: Open, usually calcareous woods
Elevation: 0-500 m
