Plants decumbent or incurved-ascending, herbage usually pubescent. Leaflets (7–)11–19, 5–27 mm. Racemes (15–)25–45-flowered; axis (3–)6–20 cm in fruit; bracts 1–2.5 mm. Flowers 6.7–9.2 mm; calyx usually pallid, tube 2.8–3.2 mm, lobes 0.7–1.6 mm; corolla ochroleucous, keel tip maculate; banner shorter than keel. Legumes narrowly ellipsoid, 8–12 × 2.5–4 mm, delicately reticulate, white-strigulose; stipe 3–3.7 mm. Seeds 6–8.


Phenology: Flowering May–Jul.
Habitat: Knolls, hillsides, desert pans, on fine-textured white or red substrates, in pinyon, juniper, or sagebrush communities.
Elevation: 1500–2000 m.
