Leaf blades: basal sinus rounded. Peduncles 1 per axil. Flowers: corolla not pink-tinged, except mid-petaline bands, 48–65 mm; anthers 5–6.5 mm. 2n = 22.
Phenology: Flowering Jun–Oct.
Habitat: Disturbed sites, abandoned plantings.
Elevation: 0–100 m.
Distribution
Introduced; B.C., Calif., Oreg., Wash., w Europe, nw Africa, introduced also in Pacific Islands (New Zealand), Australia.
Discussion
Collections from Litchfield, Connecticut, 1941 (NY), and Long Island, New York, 1906 (PH), may be Calystegia silvatica subsp. disjuncta.
