Stems yellow-orange, filiform. Inflorescences loose, umbelli­form-racemiform; bracts at base of clusters 1, at base of peduncles 0(or 1), ovate-lanceolate, mem­branous, mar­gins entire, apex acute. Pedicels 2–3(–5) mm. Flowers 5-merous, 2.5–4 mm, membranous, papil­late, espe­cially at base of corolla tube; calyx yellow, cupulate-angular, 1/3–1/2 corolla tube length, divided ± to base, not or finely reticulate, ± glossy, lobes triangular to lanceolate, bases not overlapping, margins entire, mid­vein carinate and/or with multicellular protuberances, apex acute to acuminate; corolla white, drying creamy yellow, 2–3.5 mm, tube cylindric, 1.5–2.2 mm, not saccate, lobes erect, triangular-lanceolate, equaling corolla tube length, margins entire, apex acute, straight; infrastaminal scales ovate to oblong, 0.8–1.1 mm, 1/3–1/2 corolla tube length, bridged at 0.5–0.7 mm, rounded, uniformly short-fimbriate, fimbriae 0.2–0.3 mm; sta­mens barely exserted, shorter than to equaling corolla lobes; filaments 0.4–0.7 mm; anthers 0.5–0.8 × 0.3–0.5 mm; styles filiform, 1.5–3 mm, longer than ovary. Capsules globose, 1.3–2.2 × 1–2.3 mm, slightly thick­ened and raised around relatively small interstylar aper­ture, translucent, capped by withered corolla, dehiscence circumscissile. Seeds 2–4, angled or slightly obcom­pressed, ellipsoid-oblong, 0.6–0.9 × 0.3–0.5 mm, hilum area lateral.


Phenology: Flowering Aug–Nov.
Habitat: desert and thornscrub.
Elevation: 500–1000 m.
