Stems not bearing bulbels. Inflorescence bracts opposite. Petal glands glabrous or purple-hairy, or absent.
Phenology: Flowering late spring–mid summer.
Habitat: Pine forest
Elevation: 1200–2200 m

Calochortus palmeri var. munzii is found in the San Jacinto Mountains, Riverside County.
