Plants 6–48 cm. Stems branched. Leaf blades linear to narrowly elliptic or oblanceolate, 20–50 × 3–6 mm. Involucres campanulate. Phyllaries in 2–3 series, narrowly lanceolate, sparsely hirsuto-pilose. Ray florets 17–42; corollas yellow, laminae 3–8 mm. Disc florets 21–91; corollas yellow, narrowly funnelform, not contracted at lobes, lobes 5. Pappi of 8–12 bristles, weakly dilated at bases. 2n = 18.
Phenology: Flowering Mar–Apr.
Habitat: Grassy coastal hills
