Leaf blades linear-oblanceolate, mostly tomentose on both surfaces, margins usually revolute. Inflorescences capitate or umbellate. Perianths pale yellow to ochroleucous.


Phenology: Flowering May–Jul.
Habitat: Gravelly, volcanic scablands, mixed grassland and sagebrush communities
Elevation: 100-1300 m

Discussion

Variety sublineare is found in south-central Wash-ington and adjacent north-central Oregon. It is frequently confused with Eriogonum douglasii.
