Leaves: blades 38–112 × 10–24.6 mm, widest intersinus distance 3.3–13.7 mm; proximal with margins pinnate, lobes 12–30, perpendicular to leaf axis, 1.4–6.6 × 1.9–6.1 mm; distal with margins pinnate, lobes 10–28, perpendicular to leaf axis, 2.3–8.6 × 1.8–5.8 mm. Bracts: margins entire or toothed. Flowers: petals 12.2–20.4 × 3.7–7.2 mm; 5 outermost stamens without anthers. Seeds 3.3–4 mm; seed coat anticlinal cell walls sinuous, papillae 67–106 per cell. 2n = 18.


Phenology: Flowering Feb–Oct.
Habitat: Stable sand dunes, hills, washes.
Elevation: 40–1400 m.
