Phenology: Flowering Jun–Aug.
Habitat: Foothill woodlands.
Elevation: 500 m.

Discussion

Subspecies arida is known only from south-central Shasta County, and barely into adjacent northern Tehama County and is designated rare by the California Native Plant Society.
