Perianth bristles 4–6, equaling to twice as long as achene, densely spinulose.
Phenology: Fruiting summer–fall.
Habitat: Freshwater, sandy or muddy shores with relatively stable water levels, floating mats, bogs
Elevation: 0–400 m
