Horizontal stems flat on ground, 15–45 × 0.4–0.6 cm; stems (excluding leaves) thick, 1.5–2 mm wide; leaves monomorphic, appressed, 5–7 × 0.8–1 mm, marginal teeth 0–7 per side. Peduncles 1–7 per plant, 13–40 × 0.3–0.4 cm; strobilus 1/3–1/6 total length; leaves appressed, 3–5.3 × 0.3–0.5 mm, marginal teeth 0–3 per side. Strobili 25–60 × 3–4 mm. Sporophylls appressed, incurved, 3.5–5 × 0.3 mm, marginal teeth absent. 2n = 156.
