Leaves 20–60 × 2–10 mm. Heads sessile to subsessile. Ray laminae 4–6 mm. Disc corollas 4.5–5 mm, lobes spreading-recurving, 1.4–1.7 mm. Cypselae 2.5–3 mm, ribs whitish, raised. 2n = 18.


Phenology: Flowering (Mar–)Apr–Oct(–Dec).
Habitat: Sandhills and dunes, characteristically with turkey oak and longleaf pine
Elevation: 0–100 m
