Involucre bases densely yellow-pilose. Phyllaries lanceolate. 2n = 38, 57, 76, 95.
Phenology: Flowering Jul–Aug.
Habitat: Alpine meadows, tundras, and calcareous rocky outcrops
Elevation: 0–1500 m
Distribution
B.C., N.W.T., Yukon, Alaska, Asia (e Russia).
