Leaves sparsely stipitate-glandular or not. Phyllaries stipitate-glandular. Disc florets 5–10. 2n = 10.
Phenology: Flowering Jul–Oct.
Habitat: Openings, chaparral, thin, gravelly soils of serpentine outcrops, roadsides
Elevation: 100–500 m
Discussion
Of conservation concern.
Variety micradenia is known only from the Mount Tamalpais region in Marin County.
