Involucre bases sparsely to moderately white-pilose. Phyllar-ies broadly lanceolate to oblanceolate. 2n = 76.
Phenology: Flowering Jun–Jul.
Habitat: Sea-cliffs, limestone barrens, hornblende schists and dry schistose talus in alpine areas
Elevation: 10–1100 m
