Scapes erect, densely glandular-puberulent, slightly pilose. Inflorescences cymose-umbellate, rarely capitate. Peduncles 0.05–0.2 cm.


Phenology: Flowering Jun–Sep.
Habitat: Quartz outcrops, conifer woodlands
Elevation: 2300-2500 m

Discussion

Variety breedlovei is restricted to Piute Mountain and the Owens Peak areas of Kern County. It is occasionally grown in rock gardens.
