Plants sparse to prolifically suckering; rosettes numerous, rather open. Leaves 25–40 × 6–8 cm; blade grayish, linear-lanceolate to lanceolate; margins straight; apical spine 2–4 cm. Scape 2–4 m. Perianth tube campanulate, 3–5 mm; filaments inserted at top of tube. 2n = 60, 118.


Phenology: Flowering spring.
Habitat: Sandy to gravelly or rocky places in desert scrub and pinyon juniper woodlands
Elevation: 500–1500 m
