Leaves 30–85 × 3–9 mm. Phyllaries 2–14 × 0.7–3 mm. Disc florets: corollas 9–12 mm, lobes 1–1.3 mm, acute; anthers 3.1–4.1 mm, appendages long-acuminate, 0.5–1.1 mm; style branches 3.5–4.2 mm, appendages 1.4–1.7 mm, apices acute. Cypselae 7–9 mm; pappi 8–10 mm. 2n = 18 (as Petradoria discoidea).
Phenology: Flowering late summer–fall.
Habitat: Rocky, wooded slopes
Elevation: 2200–2900 m
Discussion
Cuniculotinus gramineus is known from southern Nevada and Inyo County, California.
