Plants prostrate to decumbent, mat-forming, 0.1–1 m; twigs sparsely short-hairy. Petioles 4–8 mm, smooth, glabrous. Inflorescences: axis glabrous or sparsely short-hairy; bracts glabrous or sparsely short-hairy.


Phenology: Flowering winter–early spring.
Habitat: Chaparral, clay barrens
Elevation: 100 m

Discussion

Of conservation concern.

Subspecies decumbens is found only at Rincon Ridge, Sonoma County.
