Fruiting pedicels 2–4(–5.5) mm. Fruits: valves glabrous or sparsely pubescent, trichomes not uniform; style 1.8–2.5(–3) mm.
Phenology: Flowering May–Jun.
Habitat: Shale outcrops and sandy soils of sagebrush-woodland areas
Elevation: 2100-3400 m
Discussion
Subspecies lucens is known from the West Tavaputs Plateau.
