Plants 5–18(–30) cm. Basal leaf blades oblanceolate, (30–)60–100(–150) × 6–12 mm, apices obtuse to rounded. Cypselae strigillose only distally.


Phenology: Flowering Jul–Sep.
Habitat: Alpine meadows, usually in wet or moist areas, lake edges, clearings in subalpine pine-fir woods, sometimes along ridges
Elevation: 1400–2100(–2400) m
