Stems 5–20(–40) cm, branched. Leaves: blade narrowly lanceolate to elliptic, 15–40 × 3–15 mm. Pedicels 3–5 mm in flower, 5–10 mm in fruit. Flowers: calyx abaxial and lateral lobes 5–9 mm, adaxial lobe 7–10 mm; corolla yellow, sometimes lightly spotted with maroon, 15–20 mm, palate convex, yellow, marked with maroon. Seeds 2–2.5 mm. 2n = 30.
Phenology: Flowering Feb–Apr.
Habitat: Desert, gravelly slopes, washes, roadsides.
Elevation: -40–1900 m.
Distribution
Ariz., Calif., Nev., Utah.
