Inflorescences 2–10 cm; bracts cream to pink, 10–20 × 5–10 mm. Flowers: lateral sepals 10–15 × 3–6 mm, others absent or 8–12 × 2–4 mm; corolla 12–18 mm, lobes lanceolate-ovate, base not saccate, apex acute to rounded; stamens 8–12 mm; anthers erect at anthesis, 1–2 mm; ovary 3–5 × 2–4 mm, glabrous; style 3–5 × 1–1.5; stigma yellow, 1.5–2.5 mm diam. Berries 1 cm diam. Seeds 0.2–0.4+ mm diam. 2n = 104.


Phenology: Flowering late spring–summer(-early fall).
Habitat: Mixed- deciduous or coniferous forests
Elevation: 0-2700 m
