Twigs densely glandular-hairy. Leaf blades: margins ciliate, surfaces papillate, scabrous, sparsely finely short glandular-hairy. Ovaries rough, glandular-hairy, viscid. Fruits rough, glandular-hairy, viscid.


Phenology: Flowering winter–early spring.
Habitat: Chaparral, open forests
Elevation: 200-1200 m

Discussion

Subspecies mariposa occurs in the central Sierra Nevada, mostly in Mariposa County.
