Plants glabrous except for white farina on involucral bracts and calyces. Leaves shorter than scape; blade spatulate, margins subentire. Corolla tubes 7–10 mm, length 1.5–2 times calyx.
Phenology: Flowering summer.
Habitat: Cliff faces and ledges
Elevation: 1500 m
Discussion
Of conservation concern.
Variety maguirei is known from Logan Canyon. It is distinguished from other members of the complex by its more-spatulate, almost entire leaf blades. It was federally listed as threatened in 1985.
