Ray corollas light purple, pink, or white. Cypselae (rays) ± hairy (at least on distal margins); disc cypselae glabrous. 2n = 22.
Phenology: Flowering late spring.
Habitat: Rocky prairies, open, wooded hillsides
Elevation: 100–400 m
