|discussion=<p>Some forms of <i>Nephrolepis biserrata</i> closely resemble <i>N. multiflora</i> in pinna shape and indument but lack the distinctively transparent-margined (i.e., bicolored) and persistent petiole scales of the latter species. <i>Nephrolepis multiflora</i> also has more appressed and darker-colored stem scales.</p>
