|discussion=<p><i>Pectis glaucescens</i> is widespread in southern Florida and the Bahamas. Human disturbances, especially road constructions, have created habitats suitable for it. It grows most commonly on limestone soils in open, grassy sites. Occasionally, it is a lawn weed.</p>
