Herbs 20–35 cm. Leaflet blades linear, 0.1–0.7 cm wide, those of basal leaves 0.2–0.5(–0.7) cm wide, apex acuminate.


Phenology: Flowering May–Jul.
Habitat: Dry rocky hillsides, clay roadsides, fields, open pine forests.
Elevation: 500–1500 m.

Discussion

Subspecies plumosum is restricted to northeastern Oregon and southeastern Washington.
