Leaf blades oblanceolate, 2–5(–8) cm × 3–13 mm × 0.3–0.7 mm, fleshy. Inflorescences eglandular. Flowers: calyx strongly suffused with purple, strongly inflated, (4–) 7–10(–12) mm diam. at anthesis, eglandular; petal limb 5–11 mm wide, often with lateral tooth on each side.


Phenology: Flowering summer.
Habitat: Exposed coastal bluffs
Elevation: 0-100 m
