Young branches red to gray. Leaves scattered along branchlets; blade light green abaxially, green adaxially, narrowly elliptic to oblong, 3–7 cm, base acute to rounded, margins finely denticulate, apex acute to rounded, both surfaces short puberulent. Drupes globose.


Phenology: Flowering Apr–Jun.
Habitat: Chaparral, montane forests.
Elevation: (400–)1000–2200 m.
