Plants annual. Leaf blades with margins sinuate-dentate [to unlobed]. Inflorescences of compact axillary glomerules or cymes. Flowers: perianth segments [4–]5, distinct nearly to base, partially enclosing fruit; stamens absent or 1[–2]; styles 2. Seeds vertical.

Distribution

Introduced; Pacific Islands (New Zealand), Australia, some species locally introduced and naturalized in other regions.
