Herbage glabrous or puberulent, glabrescent. Stems trailing or twining-climbing, to 400+ cm. Leaf blades broadly triangular, lobes 2(or 3)-pointed, basal sinus broadly rounded. Bracts broadly ovate to suborbiculate, 13–23(–26) × 16–27 mm, proxi­mally keeled or saccate, apex emarginate to rounded. Flowers: sepals 10–17(–22) mm; corolla 36–55(–60) mm; stamens 17–26 mm.


Phenology: Flowering Mar–Sep.
Habitat: Coastal scrub, rocky canyons, shrubby hillsides.
Elevation: 0–1900 m.

Distribution

Calif., Mexico (Baja California).
