Plants loosely matted to diffusely tufted, hairs appressed or sub­appressed. Stems prostrate, decumbent with ascending tips, or ascending. Leaflets: blade sur­faces glabrous or glabrescent adaxially. Corollas often pink-purple or lilac, drying bluish, sometimes lilac-tipped or -tinged, rarely whitish, keel apex maculate; banner (4.3–)5.2–9.3 mm. Legumes symmetric or oblique, (5–)6–12 mm.


Phenology: Flowering late May–Aug.
Habitat: Barrens, rocky knolls, outcrops and scree of shale or sandstone.
Elevation: 800–2500 m.
