Herbs perennial, caulescent; caudex shallowly subterranean. Hairs basifixed. Stems several. Stipules distinct. Leaves odd-pinnate, short-petiolate; leaflets (7 or)9–17. Racemes densely flowered, flowers spreading-ascending. Calyx tubes cylindric-campanulate. Corollas bicolored, banner and keel pink-purple, wings whitish, banner recurved through 45–50°, keel apex triangular or obtusely deltate. Legumes deciduous, sessile, ascending or erect, lunately linear-lanceoloid or -oblong, 3-sided compressed, bilocular. Seeds 27–38.
