Herbs perennial, selenophytes, caulescent; caudex superficial or shallowly subterranean. Hairs basifixed. Stems several to many. Stipules connate at proximal nodes, distinct at distal nodes. Leaves odd-pinnate, short-petiolate or subsessile; leaflets (9–)19–27. Racemes densely flowered, flowers nodding. Calyx tubes deciduous, obliquely ovoid, accrescent and inflated, enclosing small pod. Corollas ochroleucous, banner recurved through 45°, keel apex round. Legumes deciduous, sessile, gynophore present, curved, declined, oblong-ellipsoid, strongly obcompressed with 2 adaxial grooves, unilocular. Seeds 6–8.
