Herbs perennial, caulescent; caudex superficial. Hairs basifixed. Stems several. Stipules distinct. Leaves odd-pinnate, petiolate; leaflets 11–29. Racemes loosely or densely flowered, flowers declined. Calyx tubes short-cylindric or campanulate. Corollas ochroleucous or pale yellow, drying yellowish, banner recurved through 30–40°, keel apex obtuse. Legumes eventually deciduous or persistent, stipitate, pendulous, incurved, lanceoloid-oblong, semi-ellipsoid, or narrowly ellipsoid, 3-sided, grooved dorsally, ± bilocular. Seeds 12–20.

Discussion

Species 2 (2 in the flora).

Section Neviniani comprises maritime species of the seaward islands off the coast of southern California.
