Herbs annual, caulescent; root-crown superficial. Hairs basifixed. Stems several. Stipules distinct. Leaves odd-pinnate, petiolate; leaflets 13–21. Racemes subcapitate, flowers ascending. Calyx tubes campanulate. Corollas whitish, banner straight or recurved slightly, keel apex blunt. Legumes deciduous, sessile, spreading, forming an oblong to globose head, narrowly oblong, 3-sided compressed, coiled, bilocular.

Distribution

Introduced; Massachusetts, Europe, Asia.

Discussion

Species 1 (1 in the flora).

Introduced in the flora area, sect. Cycloglottis is known otherwise from east-central Europe eastward to Balochistan, northwestern Pakistan, and central Asia.
