Leaves: blade dull green, moderately beset with pustulate-based hairs. Perianths white to pale pink; bud glabrous at apex. Fruits 4.2–6.8 mm, equatorial flange 0.2–0.6 mm wide. 2n = 24.


Phenology: Flowering late spring–early fall.
Habitat: Calcareous clays and shales, sometimes on gypsum
Elevation: 400-1200 m
