Leaf blade ± arcuate. Flowers 8–12 mm; stigma scarcely thickened, unlobed or minutely 3-lobed; pedicel 8–20 mm. 2n = 14.
Phenology: Flowering May–Jun.
Habitat: Clay soil on dry hillsides
Elevation: 50–300 m
Discussion
Allium peninsulare var. franciscanum is found around San Francisco Bay to the north and west and does not overlap var. peninsulare in its distribution. It is morphologically intermediate between the typical variety and A. dichlamydeum, which it likewise does not overlap in distribution.
