Stems sparsely tomentulose or glabrous. Leaves mostly basal (cauline much smaller); blades rounded-deltate to ovate, 5–12 × 3–7 cm, coarsely toothed. Ray florets 16–21; laminae 20–30+ mm. Cypselae ± quadrate, 4–5.5 mm; pappi of 20–30, obovate to spatulate scales 1–2 mm. 2n = 34.
Phenology: Flowering mostly spring–summer.
Habitat: Sandy soils
Elevation: 0–100 m
Discussion
Tetragonotheca repanda is known from the Gulf Coastal Plain.
