Leaves 8–40 mm wide; blade widely lanceolate to oblanceolate. Flowers 1.8–4 cm, odor not unpleasant. 2n = 24.


Phenology: Flowering Mar–Apr.
Habitat: Grassy slopes, mesas, serpentine barrens
Elevation: 0–1200 m
