Discussion
Of conservation concern.
Subspecies blochmaniae is reported from San Simeon, California, to Cabo Colonett, Baja California; because of urbanization some populations are extinct; it is considered seriously threatened in California (California Native Plant Society, http://cnps.web.aplus.net/cgi-bin/inv/inventory.cgi). It hybridizes in nature with Dudleya edulis (R. V. Moran 1951).
Subspecies blochmaniae is in the Center for Plant Conservation’s National Collection of Endangered Plants.
