Stems glabrous or sometimes sparsely glandular-hairy when young. Leaf blade margins glandular-hairy.


Phenology: Flowering Jun–Sep.
Habitat: Subalpine and red fir forests
Elevation: 2100- 3700 m

Discussion

Subspecies californica is endemic to the Sierra Nevada.
