Flowers: tepals yellow, 11–12 mm; basal filament appendages 2-cuspidate, aristate, cusps 1–2 mm, less than 1/2 length of filaments, apex acute.


Phenology: Flowering spring (Apr–Jun).
Habitat: Foothill woodlands
Elevation: 0–1700 m

Discussion

Variety aurea is restricted to the southern Coast Ranges.
