Bulbs oblique-oblong, ± irregularly shaped, suggesting small tuber, 0.9–1.4 cm; outer coats pale brown, breaking with irregular edges, cells of reticulum wavy. Flowers 9–14 mm; tepals narrowly lanceolate, apex acute. 2n = 14.


Phenology: Flowering late May–early Jul.
Habitat: Clay soils, including serpentine
Elevation: 50–1000 m
