J. Bot. Res. Inst. Texas 1: 889. 2007,.
Basionym: Sedum ciliosum Howell Fl. N.W. Amer. 1: 214. 1898
Synonyms: Sedum stenopetalum subsp. ciliosum (Howell) R. T. Clausen
Leaves of offsets ciliate. Cymes: primary branches often dichotomously forked, 11–22 cm. Flowers: petals white or creamy white, sometimes drying yellowish, 7–11 mm; anthers yellow; nectar scales 0.5–0.6 mm.
Phenology: Flowering spring–summer.
Habitat: Talus and rocks along streams, cliff bases, bluffs
Elevation: 200-1200 m
Discussion
The leaves of var. ciliosum are similar to those of Sedum stenopetalum, and an argument can be made that var. ciliosum is more closely allied to that species (P. Zika, pers. comm.).
