Leaves to ovate-lanceolate; corolla subrotate, yellow, orange, or white; staminal column included; ovules 1–3 per carpel; styles 10–14-branched; stigmas capitate. Fruits schizocarps, reflexed, inflated, spheric to subspheric, papery, setose; mericarps 10–12[–14], 1-celled, without dorsal spur, apex rounded, dehiscent dorsally. Seeds 2–6 per mericarp, spheric, glabrous or setose. x = 7.
